The Cooperativa de Formação e Animação Cultural (COFAC) is the organization responsible for maintaining Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias (ULHT) and CICANT. With a mission to promote “Lusofonia” and its integration with other geographical and cultural areas, COFAC has established a national and international network of educational, research, and cultural institutions under the umbrella of Lusofona University. This network includes twelve other higher education institutions in countries such as Brazil, Mozambique, Angola, and Cape Verde.
At Universidade Lusófona, the integration of art therapy is recognized as a valuable component of its educational and cultural activities. Alongside degree courses in various scientific areas, including Natural Sciences, Engineering, Humanities, and Fine Arts, the university offers opportunities for students to engage in art therapy practices. Art therapy is woven into the fabric of the university’s approach to education and personal development, providing students with avenues to explore their creativity, enhance well-being, and express themselves through artistic mediums.
Pedro Santos Pinto Gamito
Pedro Gamito is a highly accomplished professional with an impressive academic background and extensive experience in the field of psychology and virtual reality applications. He earned his Ph.D. in Built and Human Environment from the University of Salford (UK) in 2002 and holds the title of Aggregate in Rehabilitation from the University of Lisbon since 2012. Currently, Pedro serves as a Full Professor and the Director of the Computational Psychology Laboratory at the School of Psychology and Life Sciences, as well as the director of the Research Centre - HEI-Lab: Digital Human-Environment Interaction Lab at Lusófona University. As a researcher, Pedro Gamito brings his wealth of knowledge and experience to the project. His expertise in virtual reality applications, combined with his commitment to advancing the field of psychology and enhancing patient care, make him an invaluable asset to the team. With Pedro's contributions, the project can benefit from cutting-edge research and innovative approaches to therapy and rehabilitation.
Ana Filipa Gordino Beato
Ana Beato is a highly qualified professional in the field of clinical psychology, with a strong focus on research and academia. She recently completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Lisbon. Her doctoral thesis, titled "Parenting styles, beliefs, and strategies in parents of children with anxiety disorders," demonstrates her expertise in understanding the dynamics of parenting in relation to anxiety disorders. Prior to her Ph.D., Ana earned a Master's degree in Psychology, specializing in Stress and Well-being, from the same institution. Her contributions ensure that the project's research activities are rigorous, evidence-based, and contribute to advancing the field of psychology.
